Solid Star Narrates Ordeal After Escaping Death Due To Drug Abuse

Joshua Iniyezo, better known by his stage name SolidStar Isoko or simply SolidStar, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer. He began his musical career as a drummer for a local church in his hometown of Delta State. SolidStar is popularly known across Nigeria and Africa for his hit song “One in a Million”. He got signed by Ossy Achievas.

In 2010, he released his debut album One in a Million which went on to become a huge hit. The remix of the single “One in a Million” there after featuring Africa’s legend, 2face Idibia. He has followed up this feat with several hit singles later on down the line.

He hit the limelight after he was scouted by Achievas Entertainment at Ajegunle, during a performance at a bar. He got signed on to Festac-based Achievas Entertainment in 2009 for a period of three years to produce two albums.

His second album, Grace and Glory, released in late 2013, had hits such as Skibo, Omotena and Oluchi — his collaboration with highlife king, Flavour. Solid Star is the owner of the entertainment production called Shabba Entertainment.

The very down-to-the-earth Solidstar, who now owns a record label, Badass Entertainment, spoke with TheCable on a few more things about himself and Badass. Solidstar is the first debutant in West to Africa to release an Enhanced Audio cd.
